All Distance Learning will be conducted using video teleconferencing. This will allow for participant involvement throughout the seminar or course.

How it Works: 

After registering and submitting your payment for online sessions, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link which you will use to join the seminar or course online. You can join using a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. At the scheduled time, click the link and the instructor will admit you to the seminar or course.

NRA Gun Safety Seminar

Duration: 1.5 to 2 Hours (Seminar will be 1.5 hours/.5 hour allotted for questions/discussion after seminar concludes.)

Cost: $15.00

Max: 20 participants

The NRA Gun Safety Seminar is designed for those who are new to shooting and/or new to firearm ownership. It exposes new gun owners to the fundamentals of firearm safety and is a great introduction to the important safety aspects of owning and storing a firearm. Participants will receive an NRA Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of the seminar.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

Duration: 5 Hours Online (approx.) 

              3 Hours In-person (approx.)

Cost: $120.00 (Reduced from regular cost of $165)

Deposit: $60.00

Max: 6 participants

This course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience and is presented online, in a classroom and on the range. This 8 hour course provides instruction in safe gun handling, the various types of pistols, shooting fundamentals, ammunition, storage and gun cleaning. Participants will receive The Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook via USPS prior to the start of the Course. There are no prerequisites for this course.

Upon completion of the Online portion of the Basic Pistol & Basic Rifle Courses, participants will receive an NRA Certificate of Completion for the Online Distance Learning section ONLY.

To complete the Courses in their  entirety, students will then need to attend the In-Person Classroom & Range portion which will be scheduled at a later date. This instruction will take place at The Cabin Armory and Training Center in Wilkes-Barre, PAPlease be sure you are able to attend at this location. You cannot complete it with another instructor local to your area.

After completing the In-Person Classroom & Range portion, participants will receive an NRA Certificate of Completion showing a shooting proficiency level as well as indicating completion of the entire Course.

NON NRA Seminar

Situational Awareness Seminar

Duration: 2 Hours

Cost: $20.00

Max: 20 participants

Keeping yourself and your loved ones safe in times of uncertainty takes an acute level of awareness in your everyday life. In this seminar you will learn how to develop the proper mindset to take responsibility for your own security, and to trust your intuition or "gut" feelings when it comes to your surroundings.
